Lorraine is a certified athletic therapist with a bachelor of health and physical education from Mount Royal university. She is currently completing her last year at Canadian Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine to become a doctor of acupuncture.
She has experience working with varsity athletes providing on-field care as a first responder and following their rehabilitation journeys all the way from assessment to return to play. She has also worked alongside sport medicine physicians providing clinical support in assessment and rehabilitation. In her student clinic, she utilizes acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, and tui na massage techniques to treat her patients for a variety of different injuries and ailments.
She grew up competitively dancing in jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern and contemporary. Finding climbing later in life, she has a deep appreciation for the movement and flow involved in the sport. Outside of school and work, she is a dog/cat mom and enjoys staying active and trying different forms of movement, her favourites being climbing, running, and pilates.
